I have 20 years experience working on cooperatives in the Bay Area. I worked at Bookpeople , Nabalom bakery and was a founding member of Mandela Foods Cooperative in Oakland. Since 1997 I have been a volunteer and member of NOBAWC (The Network of Bay Area Worker Cooperatives). I have also been a volunteer with the Freedom farmers Market in Oakland since 2013. I’ve been a member of the Liberated Lens film collective for the last three years, where I wrote, produced, and directed a PSA for Mandela Foods’ “Fresh Creds” program, worked on several collective productions, did videography for Global Communications, Education, and Art (another Omni Commons collective), and filmed at AfroComicCon 2017. I also began volunteering as a camera operator at OWH Studios in West Oakland in 2016.
I have a BFA in film from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco (graduated cum laude 2011) and am one of the founding members of Liberated Lens. I teach editing there and manage collective productions and finances.
